Why did you join AA: "As a freshman during my fall quarter, I nervously went out to the first Fall AA/BAP Kick-Off Social to explore what Accounting truly meant as I was deciding on what career profession I wanted to pursue in college. There, I met many kind, supportive, and ambitious members who I wanted to surround myself with and found out that Public Accounting was not the stigmatized boring, bookkeeping, antisocial profession. AA has provided me with the foundation and professionalism to build a solid career, mentors and like-minded friends I can rely on for advice, and a vast network of connections with different professionals. With its impact on my professional life, I would love to share my experiences and knowledge with more undergraduate students and give back to the Accounting community!"
Best advice you have ever received: "Take initiative! Navigate your own career path and always seek opportunities to grow and learn. Don’t be afraid to fail because you will never know the outcome unless you first try. Your experiences are truly what you make out of it, so make it a good one."

Best advice you have ever received: "The best advice I've ever received is to take opportunities where you can get them. In the past, I have regretted not involving myself in more activities/clubs that would've given me once-in-a-lifetime experiences, so now I try to involve myself as much as I want to. Adding on to that, time management is incredibly important now in order to make sure that you don't stretch yourself too thin and/or procrastinate too much."

After joining the AALDP mentorship program and surrounding myself with such a helpful and inspiring community, I was able to completely evolve as one of the shyest individuals I knew to someone who is much more positive, ambitious, confident and outgoing. Now I genuinely enjoy meeting and talking to new people, and I wish to also positively influence and help guide those around me."
Best advice you have ever received: "Rather than advice, I have learned through trial and error to continue keeping a positive mindset. It is fine to do things at your own pace because the accomplishments of others should not define you. I realize that is extremely accurate, not only in terms of academics, but especially in extracurriculars and in my own professional life. While a program may be known as super beneficial, you won't gain much out of it if you don't put in the time and effort into the program or to improve yourself."
